TRANSFORMATIONAL
LEADER AWARD.
This award celebrates an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, inspiring others to embrace change and reshape their organisation, industry or the engineering profession. It recognises leaders who have driven significant transformation and set new standards of excellence.
Entries should demonstrate:

successfully implemented transformative initiatives within an organisation, industry or the profession

inspired and motivated teams to achieve extraordinary results

development and execution of innovative strategies to address complex challenges

a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

ethical leadership and commitment to professional values
-
measurable positive outcomes resulting from leadership initiatives.
Eligibility

Entries are open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.

The entrant must have worked substantially in New Zealand.

The entrant’s impactful work must have been undertaken between November 2022 and November 2024.

The entrant doesn’t have to be an Engineering New Zealand member.
Judging criteria

Vision and innovation (30%): Ability to conceive and communicate transformative ideas

Change management (25%): Successful implementation of significant organisational or professional changes

Team empowerment (20%): Effectiveness in inspiring and motivating others

Impact (15%): Measurable positive outcomes resulting from leadership
-
Ethics and integrity (10%): Demonstration of strong professional values and social responsibility
